About the Event
We wanted to be sure everyone is aware of the 3rdd Annual Bless Our Schools prayer event on Sunday, August 11th, from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. This is a community wide prayer event.
Join families from 20+ area churches on a Moore County School of your choice to PRAY God’s blessings over the new school year.
Prayer greeters will be positioned at the flagpoles on over 30 public and private Moore County School campuses to welcome you and to give you a special prayer guide. Following an opening prayer, feel free to prayer walk by yourself or with a group. Everyone is welcome to participate!
Special note: Homeschoolers will gather at Christ Community Church and at Grace Church in Southern Pines in the parking lot to pray for God’s blessings on their new school year too!
Christ Community Church is located at 220 Campground Road, West End (just off 15-501 not far from the traffic circle)
Grace Church is located at 1519 Luther Way, Southern Pines, NC 28387

Why Pray for Schools? Schools are important to preparing the next generation. Teachers and administrators need strength, wisdom, and courage as they make decisions and serve young people in our community. Students need schools that are safe, where they can be equipped to thrive in all that God has for them now and in the future. Why Pray for The Next Generation? Many young people today are facing challenges related to relationships, identity, mental and emotional health, fear and anxiety. The next generation needs hope, healing, and an understanding of God’s purpose for their lives.
