Chip Gentry, of Hawk Manor Falconry, will lead our group in an education program with of multiple species birds of prey including hawks, falcons, and owls. Along with an interactive experience with the birds, we will learn about the history of falconry (where and how it began and its importance in royal life during medieval times, physiology of birds of prey, and how they are so important to our environment.
Hawk Manor Falconry education programs are designed for old and young alike and are just as entertaining as they are educational. What could be more awesome than learning about the history of falconry (the oldest hunting sport known to man), physiology of birds of prey, and environmental importance of these incredible animals!
The presentation is from 2-4pm.
The cost of this field trip will depend on how many sign up and will be per person. Obviously, the more people that sign up, the cheaper it will be. Our fee is $450 for the group. So for instance, if we have 50 kids sign up, the charge will be $9 per person (plus PayPal Fees). Please note, your registration is your promise to pay. If you have signed up for this field trip, you are committing to pay, even if you do not show up on the day of the field trip. We will keep in touch with those who sign up and keep you updated as to the price.
We are capping this field trip at 50 students. If we fill it up, he will do another one :)
