Logic. Like statistics, it is a simple concept that blooms into a college level course that confounds far too many students.
In this age where the objective is denied and the subjective is entrenched, we must first be able to evaluate arguments and positions if we wish to contrast them and find the truth. Christians are, after all, lovers of the truth, wherever it is found.
CHES board member Dave Miedema is leading a no-cost beginner course on logic for the thinking Christian. The class is available for all CHES members sixth grade and up. We will focus specifically on logical fallacies as a way to whet the appetite for more difficult logical concepts.
Friday classes occur twice a month at Saint James Lutheran Church, 983 West New Hampshire Ave in Southern Pines, NC.
The class size is limited to 25 students.
