CHES Misty Morning Ranch (Ostrich Farm) Farm Tour & Easter Egg Hunt in Robbins

Registration for this event will open in early 2024.

Join other CHES Families to learn about ostriches at the Misty Morning Ranch between Carthage and Robbins.

We will also have an Easter Egg Hunt that includes ostrich eggs*!  

We set up a tour on Friday, March 29th, at 10am.  The tour will last 1.5-2 hours and is $10 per person.  With paypal fees, that comes out to $10.87 per person.  

They will have have meat, oil, leather, jerky and other products for sale.  CHES members get 10% off anything in the farm store.

Feel free to pack a picnic lunch for your family.   Misty Morning Ranch has a large tent that we can eat under.

For the egg hunt, please provide 10 pre-filled plastic eggs per child.  The candy must be in wrappers and inside a plastic egg.  The eggs need to be brought to Barbee Decker by Wednesday, March 27th, so that she can take them to the farm on Thursday.  They will hide all the eggs before we arrive at 10am.

*Because the ostrich eggs are $20 each, there only be a couple of ostrich eggs hidden with the plastic eggs.  Once we know how many children are participating in the egg hunt, we will make a decision about how many ostrich eggs to purchase.  We will communicate this via email to the participants, and we will announce it the day of the event. The owners of Misty Morning Ranch want to be sure this is communicated clearly with the children so that we don't have disappointed kiddos that every child doesn't get an ostrich egg.
