CHES: The Sandhills Sword - A CHES Newspaper

The Sandhills Sword is the official CHES newspaper, filled with a variety of articles written by a team of students in CHES, distributed 3 times per year.  The team meets for an hour and a half roughly 1 to 2 times per month, on Tuesdays, at the same location and on the same days as CHES Speakers.  Students learn to become better writers, as well as gain experience working with a team.

Who can be in it? Any student in CHES, aged 12 to 18, who is able to make most all of the meetings, may be in the group.  (See below for dates.)  Writing skill can range from very beginner to advanced.

• Deadline to signup: August 29, 2023 (or until spots fill)

What makes this even more exciting: The CHES Newspaper and CHES Speakers both meet at the Wrona house and are on the same days.  CHES Speakers is from 10:00am to noon, and the Newspaper is from 1:00pm to 2:30pm, so there is an hour break in the middle.  For students who are in both, they may bring a sack lunch and stay during that hour in the middle.  It is a very fun time - We eat lunch, socialize, and play games.
