Hamlet Train Depot & Museums (registration now closed)

Join other CHES families to tour The Hamlet Depot and Museums.  You can read more about it on their website and Facebook page.  It is one of the only Victorian Queen Anne Train stations in North Carolina, the Hamlet Depot serves as an active passenger depot as well as home to the Hamlet Depot & Museums.

The hands on exhibits, visual displays, and interactive consoles encourage you to explore the history of the Seaboard Railroad and Hamlet. The Hamlet Depot & Museums features many unique attractions. From exhibits describing the city’s rich and vibrant history to model railroads and interactive exhibits. This museum has something for everyone.

We will tour the depot and museums.  The Hamlet Depot itself does not charge a "fee" for our tour, but asked that we make a donation and encouraged purchases at their gift shop.  We will charge $2 per child for the tour and all of that will be given as a donation the day of the tour.  They are working on getting the National Railroad Museum opened the day of our tour as well.  

They have a shelter and encourage us to have a picnic afterward.  Please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella as there is a short walk between the depot and the museum.  

The cost is $2 per child (over 2) - this is $2.37 to include PayPal Fees.  This field trip will be capped at 50 children.  We will utilize a waiting list.  If we have enough people on the waiting list, we will make a second offering of this field trip.
